Our mission

To simplify the way people compare places to stay or eat while traveling, studying, or relocating, all without any middlemen or booking systems.

It started with students choosing hostels from far away, with scattered information and no easy way to compare. The same problem applies when you need a hotel for a visit or a good place to eat nearby. We want each of those decisions to feel informed, and the place you choose to feel like a second place you can rely on.

What we do

2ndPlace is a discovery service for hostels, hotels and restaurants near you. Search near your campus, office or any area, see photos, prices, opening hours, amenities and rules where they’re supplied, save a shortlist and contact the business directly. Owners list for free and share their page easily.

How we work

• No bookings or payments. You agree rent and move-in with the owner directly.
• Sources are labelled. Ratings and reviews say whether they come from Google, 2ndPlace members or a legacy import.
• Missing is shown as missing. If a listing has no price or photos, we say so rather than guess.
• No paid placement. Results are ordered by distance or by the sort you choose.

Where we’re going

We’re starting with Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi and improving the tools students and owners use most. If you have ideas, we’d love to hear them.
