- Search near your university first; a hostel 5 km away in Lahore traffic can take far longer than it sounds.
- Ask about backup power during load-shedding, and whether rooms have fans, coolers or air conditioning in summer.
- Confirm mess timings and whether meals are included in the monthly rent.
Compare fairly
- Only compare prices with the same billing period (per month vs per night).
- Ask what the rent includes: meals, electricity, Wi-Fi, laundry.
- Ratings imported from Google may come from short stays, not students.
